Annelies Monseré has been playing music solo since 2000. Initially the music was piano-based and mostly instrumental. Once she ‘discovered’ her voice, vocals became a main focus. Since then, she has released 5 albums and several EP's.
Her debut album ‘Helder’ (released by BlueSanct) was described as “a delicate album, complete with beautiful cracks and loads of tape-hiss. […] an intensely intimate album”. On later albums and EP’s (on labels such as Morc, Stroom and ThreeFour), new routes were explored, such as: inviting other musicians to make contributions (including friends such as Jessica Bailiff, Michael Anderson, Ellen Evers, Justin & Nathan Vollmar and Steve Marreyt); using new instruments, timbres and recording techniques; interpreting traditional ballads; and introducing drum beats. Lyrically also, the records gained more focus. On ‘Happiness is within Sight’, released by the Belgian Stroom label in 2018, she tried to exhibit multiple perspectives on a parting between lovers. The new record ‘Mares’, that will be released by Horn of Plenty, explores personal memories and metaphorical meanings of the sea, how these memories and meanings interact and how childhood memories are distorted or enhanced by future events and thoughts.
Besides her solo work, Annelies is also collaborating with various other musicians. With Jessica Bailiff, an EP has been released by Morc Records, and their debut album – under the moniker Hydromedusae – will be released on Trome Records early 2023. Her full band, Luster, has released its first 10″ (a split with Hellvete) in 2016 and their very well-received debut album has been released in June 2022 on Morc Records. A collaboration with Steve Marreyt, Distels, was released in 2021 on Almost Halloween Time and Feeding Tube Records.
Roxane Métayer was born in France in 1992. She learned to play the violin during her chilhood and then continued her studies in Belgium, at the Ecole de Recherches Graphiques, where she obtained her Master’s degree in Speculative Narration, Narratives and Experiments.
She continues her practice as a visual artist and musician, based in Brussels. She has released several albums with the labels Primordial Void, Vlek, Kraak, and Morc, and has a few records planned in the coming year with Marionnet Label, Student of decay, Morc and Wabisabi tapes. Her latest shows and festival includes Meakusma Festival, schiev festival, les Ateliers Claus, West Den Haag, Le Botanique, De Nieuwe Regentes Theater…
Aside her solo practice, Roxane Métayer collaborates with other artists, choreographers and dancers. She’s currently producing pieces with Jeanne Colin, Abysse – solo d’un corps rêvant, as well as Siet Raeymaekers for her piece Gebogen Ogen. She’s also started a collaboration with Ateliers Indigo.
Through different mediums and materials such as beeswax, clay, or soap, her visual work stages a fictional fauna and flora. Guided by an organic imagery, she draws natural environments she has experienced, to create evocations of them. She’s also producing videos and installations, where the sound holds a central place. Collages composed of sound recordings made in the field, sounds that she produces herself with different string and wind instruments as well as her own voice are some of its constituent elements.
She exhibited in 2020 at the CACLB, for the exhibition M/Ondes and this year for a solo show during the MV Festival in Dijon.

Ecka Mordecai is a British artist based in London. Situated between sonic, performative and olfactory disciplines, her work is driven by sensation: entwining cello, horsehair harp, voice, eggflute, scent and improvisation into time-based objects expressive of emotional complexity.
Both intimate and exacting, this body-driven practice defies formal constraints, undoing the limits of genre and allowing for works such as Aequill Sound, a line of niche perfumes inspired by elements of the East London soundscape, or Promise & Illusion (Otoroku, 2022), the album in which Ecka explores myriad internal states using the compositional device of a creaking door hinge (or charniére).
Performing since 2010, Ecka has appeared alongside the likes of David Toop, Malvern Brume, Thurston Moore, Keeley Forsyth, Ilan Volkov, Ex-Easter Island Head, Greta Buitkute, Dave Birchall and Kate Armitage. She has played at Cafe OTO, BBC Glasgow, Islington Mill and inside a Berlin wasserturm, amongst others.
She has projects with Revox tape performer Valerio Tricoli in the duo Mordecoli (The Addiction, Hedione 2022), and in the trio Circæa with Andrew Chalk and Tom James Scott (The Bridge of Dreams, Faraway Press, 2019).
Malvern Brume is Rory Salter, a musician and sound artist living in London, Born in Banbury. Malvern Brume has released albums with Alter, TakuRoku, Infant Tree and Kashual Plastik. The music is formed through experimentations with electronic instruments, field recordings, amplified objects and voice; motivated by a relationship to changing and chaotic environments, objects and scores made from walking.
