OTO PROJECT SPACE: Ingrid Plum - workshop + performance

No Longer Available

WORKSHOP - 3.30pm-6pm
PERFORMANCE - 6:30pm-7:30pm

A workshop with Ingrid Plum on alternative approaches to working with the voice as an instrument ahead of new album 'Taut'. An album of new compositions by composers and music makers created in response to Plum's brief, ‘Taut’ uses techniques gathered from a lifetime of vocal exploration and training, including studying directly with Meredith Monk.

In 'Taut', Plum explores a tension between notated sound and performed sound, in response to Monk's reluctance to score her work which she considers an oral tradition.

Following on from the workshop, there will be a performance from Ingrid Plum in the Project Space at 6.30pm to which all ticketholders for the workshop are welcome to attend, entry is by donation for those not attending the workshop. Please note that capacity in the Project Space is limited to 60 people and entry will be on a first come, first served basis.
